Our Future Home
This page will be updated throughout the project, so be sure to check back periodically for updates!
Exciting things are happening at our Future Home!
Earlier this year we were able to break ground and move forward with construction. Currently, the crew is building out the walls and pouring concrete for the floors. Soon, we will start to see the siding and roof put on and the interior work will begin! Thank you for your continued generosity and prayer as we move forward with the building process!
Below is our projected timeline, based upon things progressing forward favorably. You’ll also find your next steps, how you can pray during this process, and ways to give towards our future home.
Land purchased with cash
Final closing on the property
Raise at least one-million in cash by October 2017
Finish the site plan and get the necessary approvals
Secure financing to begin building as soon as possible
Begin site work at the property & break ground on the building
The future home of The Point is located beside the Giant Shopping Center in the Pantops area of Charlottesville.
What are My Next Steps?
Pray for use of this property to reach our city, the region, and the world with the gospel.
Pray for the finances needed to complete the building.
Your Part in this Project

New Hope Land
Recently we were approached by a church that was near the end of their life cycle. They had started in 1987, they had purchased 20 acres of land just off of Rt. 29, north of the airport. They have a site prepared to build, they have steel setting on the land, and they came to us and said that while they’re closing their doors, they wanted to see this land used for the Kingdom, and they felt led for us to have their land. So, on June 11, we purchased 20 acres of land, with a site to build and steel for a building, for $1 from New Hope Church.
What does that mean? Given that we’re going to enter our Future Home Facility soon in Pantops with three, possibly four, services, and we don’t intend to stop reaching people once we do, it seems like there is white water in the direction of being one house with several rooms, or one church with several locations.
There are no plans in place, no timeline for that, but it seems like the flow is in that direction. Our culture is to Pray First. So we will continue to seek God for the right direction with this property, and are asking for you to join us in praying. Watch the clip below to see the land!
