Groups

People are designed for community not isolation. To engage all that The Point has to offer, we are convinced that a group is an ideal community for you. Groups gather in homes each week to cultivate a love for God, a love for people, and a love for life.

At The Point, Groups are the best way to build relationships, discuss the sermon, and serve the community.

If your group does not offer on-site childcare, you can use our Childcare Reimbursement Form to help cover childcare expenses.  To identify groups with childcare, please CLICK HERE.

WHAT ARE GROUPS?

Groups gather in homes each week to cultivate a love for God, love for people, and a love for life. At The Point, Groups are the best way to build relationships, discuss the sermon, and serve the community.

WHAT DO I EXPERIENCE DURING A GROUP GATHERING?

Most groups gather for about two hours once a week. They begin with a casual time to meet others while enjoying food followed by discussion and prayer. The discussion specifically focuses on how to apply the principles of God’s Word that were discussed during the weekend message. Some groups explore other biblical content relevant to their stage of life or personal interest. In addition to their regular gatherings, all Groups identify and plan ways to serve the local needs in their community, which may also coincide with church-wide service projects.

HOW LONG DOES A GROUP LAST?

A group continues throughout the year with occasional breaks around holidays or summer vacations. However, we understand schedules or group dynamics change, and you may need to join a new group. If that occurs, please talk with our volunteers at Connection Point to identify a new group for you.

WHAT DO MY CHILDREN DO WHILE I ATTEND A GROUP?

Some groups have onsite childcare, and you can simply bring your children with you. To view groups with childcare, please CLICK HERE and select “childcare available” and search again to display those groups. If your group does not offer childcare, you can utilize our Childcare Reimbursement Form to help cover childcare expenses. Click HERE to view the form and the details.
