Partnership with Parents
At The Point, discipleship is a priority for us. We know that parents have the most influence on a child and we want to partner with you by helping to reinforce what you are teaching your children at home about faith.
Taking Children on a Discipleship Journey
In KidsPoint we have designed a curriculum that takes children on a journey of learning and discovering the truth of God’s Word. We desire that every child will come to know Christ personally, continue to grow in their relationship with Him, and be able to communicate the good news of the Gospel.
Wonderers – Birth to 24 months
In the Wonderers we are introducing our smallest ones to God’s love. Our Wonderers will begin seeing and hearing about who God is through music, activities, and their teacher’s love.
Explorers – 2-years to Kindergarten
Our Explorers follow a curriculum that focuses on who God is. Each month has a key point and verse that teaches a foundational truth about God. Every week the Explorers will worship, experience a large group teaching, and participate in activities that reinforce the key point and verse.
Adventurers – 1st grade and 2nd grade
Our Adventures focus on learning the Gospel and God’s story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. Each week they learn a key concept about the Gospel and each month they learn a key verse together. The Adventurers are learning together in worship, large group teaching, and a small group environment.
Pathfinders – 3rd grade and 4th grade
Our Pathfinders continue to learn the truth about the Gospel and how their lives fit within the context of God’s story. Each week they learn a key concept about the Gospel and each month they learn a key verse together. The Pathfinders are learning together in worship, large group teaching, and a small group environment.
High Quality Staff, Leaders, and Volunteers
Our KidsPoint team consists of high quality volunteers who are passionate about teaching children about God’s love. Our volunteers desire to get to know you and your children and are here to serve you. All KidsPoint volunteers are provided with training so they can create a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment for your children. All volunteers must complete background checks and a volunteer shadow experience before joining the KidsPoint team.
We know that parents are entrusting us with a huge responsibility each week when they bring their children to KidsPoint. We take this trust seriously, and safety is a high priority for us. Every child must be checked-in and out every Sunday without exception. Check in opens 20 minutes before the start of each service.
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
Deuteronomy 6:5-9 ESV

Baby Dedications are held as a special time of prayer and commitment between parents and the church. In the same way that we commission and send our missionaries on REACH trips, we want to set our sights on parents embracing this role as God’s missionary to their kids.
While there is certainly a place for commemorating the birth of a child, we never want to lose the focus that God has given us as his sent ones. So now, we are sending and equipping our parents with an expected level of commitment from the parents to be devoted to seeing the gospel flourish in the lives of our young ones.
During our normal worship service, we will hold a special ceremony representing the commitment between families and the church to raise Christ–centered children who live to love God and love others. This is an opportunity for families to leverage the best of our combined resources and energy to build strong families and raise godly children.
Baby Dedications are a celebration that recognizes your child is a gift from God and makes public the church’s commitment to your family and your family’s commitment to Christ. It is not a ceremony that brings salvation to your child or a substitute for baptism.
