Gospel-Centered Path
Out of Poverty

Access Point is a foundational component of our Path Out of Poverty initiative, designed to serve those already serving those in need, such as teachers, community health workers, and first responders. This program aims to acknowledge and support these vital community pillars by providing encouragement, prayer, and practical resources. By assembling appreciation bags, adopting teacher lounges, and offering meals and other supports, Access Point strengthens community ties and builds a network of trust. This trust ensures that when community servants encounter someone in need, they can confidently refer them to The Point for further assistance, thus extending our reach and impact throughout the community.

The Academy

The Academy is an entrepreneurial training program dedicated to empowering our financially underserved neighbors, including educators, first responders, and community service workers. It equips them with essential skills to initiate and manage successful businesses. This initiative is central to our mission, blending practical assistance with gospel-centered teachings to foster both professional success and meaningful community impact. Through The Academy, participants gain not only the tools required for financial independence but also spiritual guidance to lead their personal and communal transformation. This approach aims to dismantle the cycle of poverty and promote enduring economic stability in their communities.

Mentorship

The Mentorship program is anchored in the principle of one-on-one gospel-centered mentorship, forging a deep connection between the volunteer mentors from our church and school-age kids and youth. Through one-on-one interactions, mentors and mentees explore life’s lessons and gospel values, engaging in discussions and activities that nurture a grounded character rooted in faith. The program aspires to shape a generation embodying a gospel-centered purpose and set mentees up for long-term success.

Resource Hub

The Hub program will establish a resource center that serves as a hub for people to connect with other non-profit services in the community. This team will provide information on additional resources to address practical needs such as healthcare, housing, and legal services. It will also offer opportunities for individuals to connect with job placement services and other employment-related resources. By serving as a centralized hub for individuals to access these resources, the resource center will make it easier for those struggling with poverty to find the support and services they need to achieve financial stability and independence.
