Day 19:
Psalm 119:18: “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.”
Devotion:
The Bible is not just a book you read and check off your to-do list. It is a conversation with God. Before Ezra read the Law to the people in Nehemiah 8, they stood and listened for hours, not because they had to, but because they were hungry. That hunger started with wanting to hear from God. When you pray before you read, you are telling God you actually want Him to speak to you. You are not just looking for facts. You are looking for Him. That changes how you read everything.
