Day 3 - SL 40 Days

Day 3:

‍Matthew 22:37: And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Devotion:

Building on our previous passages, Matthew reemphasizes to love God with our heart, soul, and mind. Many believers today do not realize that we can love God with our mind and it is because of this belief that many believers are not able to articulate their faith in intellectual settings. By now, we have shown that there is room for faith in intellectual conversations.

Questions:

1. Do you or have you ever believed that the Bible can be empirically true and not just something that should be true?
2. How can you love God with your mind today?
3. How does learning about the evidence for the Bible not only effect your faith, but effect your ability to share your faith?
4. Ask God how you can move forward with learning about evidence for your faith outside of personal experiences.
