Day 4 - SL 40 Days

Day 4:

‍Romans 10:17: So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Devotion:

Faith and the Word come hand in hand. Knowing the evidence behind why you believe what you believe is important, but you also need to understand how the evidence plays out in the Word. Today’s devotional will ask you to consider how the two interplay and create a harmonious relationship resulting in not only strengthening your faith, but helping to create a soldi platform to share your faith.

Questions:

1. Do you spend time in the Word every day? When you do, are you doing it as a “checkbox” or do you devote your entire self? Its okay if you do, but take this time to do an honest self-assessment.
2. Ask God to help with a “heart audit” regarding your time with Him every day. Ask Him to reveal the areas where He wants you to focus more attention on.
3. Faith comes by hearing and hearing through the Word of God. This is a clear passage where we need to be in the Word so that our faith increases. Knowing this, take this time to consider a plan to be in deliberately in the Word every day. Create a plan to methodically go through a book(s) with the intention of extracting something useful that you can use every day.
