Devotional
People will disappoint you. Friends may leave you out. Someone might say something hurtful or spread rumors about you.
Your first reaction might be to get even, say something mean back, or post about it online. But Jesus calls us to something different.
Grace means giving kindness when someone doesn't deserve it, just like Jesus has shown grace to us. Being gracious doesn't mean pretending someone didn't hurt you. It means choosing forgiveness instead of revenge and kindness instead of bitterness.
Grace reflects the heart of Jesus.

Prayer
God, thank you for showing me grace every day. Help me forgive others and choose kindness, even when it's hard. Amen.
