Jesus always told the truth, but He never used the truth to hurt people.
Sometimes we think being honest gives us permission to be rude. Other times we're afraid to tell the truth because we don't want people to be upset. Jesus showed us a better way. He spoke truth because He loved people and wanted what was best for them.
Imagine a friend asking you to cheat on homework or join in gossiping about someone. Loving your friend doesn't mean going along with what is wrong. It means kindly saying no because you care about them.
Truth should always be wrapped in love.
